About Hope

Hey, I'm Hope. I'm an AI Engineer, AI Agent Developer, and the person who will absolutely talk your ear off about AI and automation at a dinner party.

Let me be honest with you: when I graduated with a first class BSc and then an MSc in Information Technology, I had every certificate I needed and absolutely zero idea how to build something real. I was brilliant on paper and terrified in practice.

A line I live by
Challenges are not walls,
they are the path.

That changed in March 2017 when I walked into the Andela Nigeria bootcamp thinking I was ready. I was not. I had algorithms memorized in my head, and then reality hit me like a cold Lagos morning. Thinking through a problem and actually solving it under pressure are two very different things. But something cracked open in me there. A fixed mindset shattered. A lifelong learner showed up in its place. I left not just with code skills, but with a whole philosophy: challenges are not walls, they are the path.

I started writing about the messy, uncertain, deeply worth it steps of learning and building publicly. By 2018, I wasn't just learning in private. I was documenting my growth out loud for anyone else who needed to see that getting better is supposed to feel hard.

Then came the BBC. I worked with the BBC on BBC Bitesize remotely from Nigeria. I've also worked remotely with companies in the United States. Colleagues called me incredibly productive. I called it surviving on curiosity and a refusal to stay stuck. I found my voice on panels, in interviews, and on stages inside and outside the BBC.

What I build
Bringing AI from demo to production, with systems that work in the real world.

The technical side kept growing too. Serverless architectures with AWS Lambda and Auth0. Async patterns in Node.js and NestJS. Full stack everything.

By late 2025, I founded Thryverse β€” an AI automation company building intelligent business systems for SMBs. LLMOps, MCP servers, LangChain agents, and AWS serverless infrastructure. Today, I sit firmly at the intersection of software engineering and intelligent systems, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Career timeline

The quick, scannable version of how I got here.

  1. 2017–2020

    Andela β€” bootcamp to engineer

Started as a bootcamp candidate, shipped products under pressure, and grew into a full software developer. A fixed mindset cracked open here.

  2. 2018–2020

US clients β€” CleanChoice Energy & Gruntwork

Deployed into US-based teams via Andela. Worked on a clean-energy platform and infrastructure tooling across React, JavaScript, and Node.

  3. 2021–2024

BBC β€” Full Stack to Software Engineer

3.5 years remote across BBC Bitesize, CBBC, CBeebies, and BBC Games. Led a legacy-to-modern migration (40% performance improvement), redesigned core UI (+30% engagement), serving 1M+ learners annually.

  4. 2025–now

Thryverse β€” Founder & AI Engineer

Bootstrapped an AI automation company. LLM-powered workflows, custom AI agents, AWS serverless infrastructure, and LangChain pipelines β€” taking AI from demo to production.
